- he doesn't need him to keep Alex on his toes anymore (since he probably kidnapped him shortly after the events of #73 so he would have him at Benedict Hall by now) and Tim is also firmly on board at this point so the time has come where they can split up again
- he wants both of them to go to Benedict Hall seperately and he wants Jay to be in danger there so that Tim will be properly motivated to kill Alex and this video and Entry #73 lay the groundwork for that
